Supporting Bus Shelter Dorset

Having supported a number of charities over the summer with monies raised from the popular Fayre In The Square event, Weymouth Rotary is proud to announce its latest support of the Bus Shelter Dorset project.

The charity offers rough sleepers with a local connection to the area somewhere safe to stay – and ongoing support – from its converted bus, based at the Mount Pleasant Park & Ride and Weymouth Rotary has donated to the project for a number of years.

Past President, Rose Bruce (pictured), said “the Bus Shelter Dorset team contacted us, in urgent need of new bike stands and locks, a vacuum cleaner and some outside furniture, and knowing the essential support the charity provides in the local community, we were more than happy to help. Of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the generous donations from the people of Weymouth during the Fayre In The Square event, back in May”.

“We wish them continued success working with those in our community who need their support”.
